ILSA's mission is to promote unity among Indigenous law students and allies, establish a community to advocate for policies that enhance Indigenous peoples' overall quality of life and promote learning of Indigenous issues by encouraging students to develop an understanding of legal matters affecting Indigenous communities. Importantly, membership is open to ALL students who seek to further the advocacy efforts of Indigenous people
