Taking a practice exam on Exam4 Software: 

All students are required to take a practice exam after downloading Exam4 to ensure system compatibility and to gain familiarity with the functionality of the software.

How to take a Practice Exam - Written Instructions

Students must follow the instructions written on the Practice Exam document to ensure that they know how to use the software and all of its features (multiple-choice, word count, spell check, etc.).

Technical Issues During Exams

  • The Student Technology Help Desk is located in C-118 in the Law Library. If you have any issues when attempting the Practice Exam, please visit the Help Desk to resolve the issue prior to sitting for the exam.
  • If you experience any technical issues during an in-person exam, you must inform your proctor immediately. You will continue on Blue Book or Scantron. Exam4 auto-saves your exam every 2 minutes, so the Law Registrar team will be able to retrieve your work if needed.
  • For technical issues during remote exams, you must immediately contact the Office of the Law Registrar at lawreg@law.miami.edu or 305-284-2825. From there, the Law Registrar team will work with you to resolve the issue.
